Sadace maça özel değil, halka açık ortamları kirlettikten sonra temizlemek Japonların kültüründe var. Bence asıl şaşırılacak olan şey batılıların ve bizim Japonlara şaşırmamız. Başkalarına saygı, kendine saygı demektir diye düşünüyorlar. Bir Japon bu konuyu çok güzel açıklamış;
Hi Mayank from Japan. We do have professional people who do cleaning job in the public place such as station, airport and, of course, stadium. But this kind of behavior come from our culture. In our culture is respect others(society) means respect ourselves. Even cleaning class room of school by ourselves is part of education. Through cleaning we lean team working and appreciate the others and environment. I remember my teacher of my elementary school told me ” you gotta say “thank you” to your home room” as if even the room is a living things. I know it might sounds funny, but this is how we feel we gotta clean. I guess cleaning is the way to show respect, appreciation and kindness to the game, the place where game is held(stadium), and the others who use the place including people who clean the scene. As proverb says ” It is an ill bird that fouls its own nest”, we also feel it is personal duty to clean at least our mess when we leave.
